giants-contest (June-2026)
"The Taapis They were giants whose heads brushed the clouds. Their furs were stitched from storm-hides. Their faces stayed hidden—only two blue embers burned where eyes should be. In their hands: spears like fallen pines. They watched over the small folk of Polaris. And when the Gaamis came—tall, gaunt, wendigo-born of endless cold—the Taapis rose. The ice ran red. The giants fought for ages. They broke the Gaamis. They almost won. But the Gaamis sought the Ralmis—beings of fire and cinder, lords of the living volcano. Together, ice and flame swore an oath. The war that followed lasted a thousand sunsets. One by one, the Taapis fell. The last giant drove his spear into the earth and became a mountain. His brothers followed. Their bones turned to permafrost. Their silence became the high peaks of Polaris." (all of the art is drawn by me in different styles, the music is not mine, the editing is mine, and the idea is mine too. just saying. lol. Polaris deserves a giant too. )
