The Faux is an APC designated primarily for law enforcement use, and thus is built for usage in urban environments. It has two crew members, nine doors scattered throughout the vehicle, and an armoured side skirt for protecting the flanks of the vehicle from potentially dangerous objects. It can carry up to eight infantry inside, but often only carries six. The Faux is armed with a 12.7mm (.50) Bastard HMG mounted on a rotating turret, and two smoke launchers for defence. However, the infantry supporting the Faux are often the central firepower of the APC. Occasionally, a net is added to the top of the APC to protect the upper hatches from incoming objects, or even grenades. The 12.7mm Bastard is controlled by the second crew member wearing a helmet that allows him to look at targets and fire, similar to an old world helicopter's gunner. The Faux's main weakness is the vulnerability to enemy anti-tank, and it's weaker side plating compared to the rest of the chassis. The Faux has only just recently been pushed into service, and it's effect on law enforcement all over UPEK is quite the size.
