Each year, certain Vengir cities in the mountains gather beneath their respective Great Forge for Kharz-Vor, the Night of the Red Sap. In the desolate Wastelands, pale trees, once cut down, bleed a dark resin that the Vengir mix with ash to create their ritual paint. This ritual paint is painted onto everyone, and each person must paint themselves as per the tradition.

Once the forge is lit to its brightest extent, skulls of fallen warriors and Wasteland beasts are hung from the houses so the dead may watch over the settlement and the ritual. The forge is decorated with ritual swords, old swords with gold gilded tips. Around the forge stand the 2 Witness Stones, blackened by soot and painted with clan marks. Every Vengir must touch one before entering the ceremony. The elders repaint the stones, the children play, and the younger adults decorate the city with bundles of gold.

At midnight, the forgemaster will reveal the oldest ritual sword(not shown in the image, instead the forge master is simply holding a normal sword), bestowed upon him by his ancestors.

Not to celebrate conquest.

To remember that the Vengir were given ash, bone, and exile, and forged them into strength.
