The Encounter of the Moon In the beginning, the Ciru bug lived deep in the swamps, knowing only the richness of the mulch and thickness of the humidity. Yet the first Polytopian said to the first Ciru bug, "let us be melded as one", and the Ciru bug agreed. Thus they were become a single unit known as Cymanti. And as the legs of the Polytopian body gave the Ciru bug the ability to emerge from beyond the swamps, the Ciru bug saw in the sky the most glorious sight. And the light and the glory overwhelmed the Ciru bug and all his progeny. And they were driven by an irresistible desire to reach ever upwards. Mindlessly, unstoppably they fluttered, hovered, and scurried towards the mighty globe in the sky.
