With blades at our throats, they forced our hands and feet into shackles. Sent to the mines, we worked with barely any food or rest. We watched the ones who defied them burn at stake.

One of us asked them why they were doing this.

"Vengeance," our captor said, "Vengeance for what the crimes you committed to our ancestors."

With a secret knife, I escaped when the guards were drunk. However, most of us weren't as fortunate. The Vengir will arrive here soon too, and your village will have to make the same decision. Those people are only driven by hatred for others. Don't make the same mistake as my village did.
