I think elyrion just plants whimsical joyous trees and it converts the villagers into whatever elvish cult they believe in because why would you not convert to the side that has dragons, wizards and the ability to enchant the wild life?

Plus, Elyrion are seen as the more "higher status" tribes along with luxidoor, so it's extremely unlikely they would resort to savagery even with their firepower.

If you need more convincing, just know that they have ESP for Ruins, but not for villages. They're simply looking to retrieve and share their artifacts, they're happy to give away & develop their experiences and culture with any villages they run into.
