The Overgrowth

Somewhere deep in the forests grows a rare type of flower that Polytopians tend to burn on sight called the Overgrowth, the name given due to being known for growing at an incredibly fast rate when in the right conditions... And it just so happens that Cymanti lands are the perfect grounds for these carnivorous flowers with all the dew and ciru bugs around. A single Overgrowth can grow as large as a city, before expanding its boundaries and growing flowers of defensive and offensive capabilities to take out anything that may slow its growth.

Some Polytopians and especially Ciru bugs may mistake the flytraps of the Overgrowth as a Polytopian with pink skin, when in reality the face of the Polytopian is just a lure to bring them closer to its jaws. Seeds created by the Overgrowth may have flying or explosive capabilities, making them quite dangerous to be around.

Most importantly however, once the Overgrowth grows large enough (aka leveling up to a level 5 city), it may start producing spawn of its own, creating further growth to spread across the square.

Polytopians think the Overgrowth is a tribe, considering how its extra flowers are akin to Polytopians, when really, the Overgrowth is a single entity, controlling all the flowers it sends to destroy other tribes so it can have an uninterupted all-you-can-eat buffet.
