The Polytopian Seas are rumored to be bottomless - literally. Out in the deepest part of the ocean, a sunken ship will fall right out the bottom of the square and into space. It is common for new sailors to have deep fears of falling into the endless abyss. (The sailor depicted is not Kickoo because a Kickoo sailor would never lose a naval battle)
