The entire square rallied together to march through hordes of Vengir swordsmen to save the young damsel, but by the time they stormed the Vengir castle, it was too late. All that remained was the girl's green ribbon, strewn upon the floor.
After eradicating and forcing the Vengir from these lands, members of the coalition returned to the garden near the Serenity Inn, and, with the green ribbon they found, erected a small shrine in honour of the Innkeep.
No matter who, why, when or what one is travelling for, if they are travelling nearby, they will most likely detour to pay respects to the "Tears of Serenity", for it is a reminder that no matter what is happening in the world, a simple smile can cheer one up even on the worst of days. It is a reminder that such sacred things can disappear at any minute, and must be savoured while they still can. And, it is a reminder that some things are worth fighting for."
