The Splendir Saga

In an age long past, there dwelt a big tribe of such splendor and might that they came to be known as the Splendir. Their renown spread across all the realms, and others both envied and feared them, as the Splendir were the masters of the forge, crafting blades and armor that were unmatched. They lived in a land of surpassing beauty, a land that some whispered was more beautiful than even the scenery of Elyrion.

One fateful night, beneath a sky shrouded in stars, their hallowed peak, known to all as Mount Gloom, revealed its true nature. The mountain, thought to be as steady as stone itself, erupted with wrathful fire. The earth trembled, and torrents of molten rock poured forth, summoning a cataclysm that laid waste to their once-lush homeland.

In that dark hour, the Splendir lost not only many of their people but also all the elders and with that much of their expertise. Those who survived sought aid from neighboring tribes, hoping to claim a new home in their territory. Yet fear lay deep in the hearts of these others, who were not entirely aware of the terrible event and saw in the armors of the Splendir not a people in need, but a powerful threat that might want to seek dominion over their lands.

Thus, instead of aid, the tribes struck out against the Splendir with fearful fury. Caught unprepared, the Splendir resisted as best they could, but their strength had been spent in survival. In the end, the tribes drove them forth into new discovered desolate wastes, an area they deemed fit only for the fallen. But overwhelmed by their victory, they realized too late; the wasteland they had chosen was none other than the scorched remains of the Splendir’s own realm.

To this day, the Splendir search for vengeance. The circumstances changed their minds, changed their language, changed their whole culture. Wearing their ancestors skulls in hope to regain their knowledge and bring their fertile land back to live, they are now called the Vengir
